The Counter-Intuitive Non-Negotiable for Your Quantum Leap
I was reading a book this week on Toltec energy mastery techniques (you know I only share the advanced work that I do with my 1:1 clients, yes?) and there was a powerful discussion about non-negotiables.
And I realized that this had to be the topic of my newsletter, The Dross, this week.
If I told you that you could be 25% happier in ten weeks with one daily practice, would you do it? Why wouldn't you?!? It takes less than five minutes and requires no additional financial investment. But what does it require beyond the practice? Discipline.
I don't know about you but I've had a challenging relationship with that word. I could parse it through conative assessments (Kolbe), personality tests (MBTI) and energy fundamentals (my personal framework on energy activation vs conditioning) all live long day, but what has been true for me is that I LOVE to start things. And I cringe at finishing them.
What I also know to be true is that mastery of the fundamentalsare what take us to the greatest heights. And that warrants focus, practice, and intention.
I challenge you to make a list of your non-negotiables and honor them for the next two weeks. Come back in fourteen days and tell me how the quality of your life has shifted.
What might constitute those practices? Three minutes with your meditation practice that you've been meaning to start. A sun salutation series on the mat before you check into Facebook. Aten minute walk in your neighborhood every day. It really doesn't matter what it is - it just needs to reflect your values and a representation of your priorities.
Our future is composed of a series oftodays stitched together in a quilt. If you don't have time for this now, time for your personal priorities, that's a good sign that it probably won't change unless you make a major shift. Set your intention and let today be the portal to the quantum leaps you've longed for.

P.S. The practice that I reference above that increases happiness by a whole quarter is this - start a gratitude journal. Write down three things you are grateful for when you go tobed, and three things when you wake up. Easy peezy. And absolutely life changing.
